  • Student Code of Conduct

    1.1 Student Responsibilities

    1.1.1
    Springtide School expects every student to cooperate fully in implementing and following this **Code of Conduct**. Students are required to observe the school's rules, regulations, and disciplinary procedures during school hours, while participating in school activities, and during any event organized, supervised, or represented by the school.

    1.1.2
    The Springtide School uniform represents unity, equality, discipline, and pride in belonging to the institution. It encourages students to develop personal responsibility, maintain a smart appearance, and respect school identity. Students are expected to wear the complete prescribed uniform neatly and regularly according to the school's Uniform and Dress Code Policy.

    1.1.3
    Springtide School is committed to developing well-rounded individuals equipped with knowledge, skills, confidence, values, and essential life etiquettes. Students are expected to demonstrate honesty, humility, respect, kindness, and responsibility towards teachers, staff members, fellow students, visitors, and the wider community.

    Any behaviour that negatively affects the learning environment, including aggression, harassment, bullying, theft, cheating, dishonesty, vandalism, abusive language, discrimination, or involvement in harmful or unlawful activities, shall not be tolerated.

    Springtide School follows a **zero-tolerance policy towards bullying** in all forms, including physical, verbal, emotional, social, and digital (cyber) bullying. Any student found involved in bullying, intimidation, harassment, or threatening behaviour will face appropriate disciplinary action according to the severity of the incident. Serious cases may result in suspension or withdrawal of admission in accordance with school policy.

    Students are expected to take pride in their academic work, complete assignments and projects within given deadlines, and actively participate in classroom learning. The school regularly monitors students' academic progress, attendance, and behaviour. Parents will be informed whenever concerns arise, and appropriate support and corrective measures will be taken in collaboration with parents.

    Students are issued school identification cards for identification, attendance, library services, examinations, and other school-related purposes. Students must carry their ID cards whenever required by school policy. Parents are responsible for ensuring that their child brings the ID card regularly and takes proper care of it.

    Springtide School encourages students to participate actively in academic competitions, sports, clubs, STEM activities, leadership opportunities, community service, and other co-curricular and extracurricular programs. These activities are considered an important part of students' intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development.

    1.1.8
    Springtide School maintains high standards of academic integrity. Any form of dishonesty, misrepresentation, cheating, plagiarism, use of unauthorized material during examinations or assessments, submission of false information, or forging signatures of parents or teachers shall be treated as a serious offence. Appropriate disciplinary action will be taken by the School Management after due consideration.

    The School Management reserves the right to take appropriate disciplinary action, including suspension or withdrawal of admission, in cases involving serious misconduct, repeated violation of school rules, persistent indiscipline, unacceptable attendance, academic dishonesty, or involvement in activities that are harmful to the school's values and community.

    1.1.10
    Students are responsible for taking care of school property, including classrooms, furniture, lockers, laboratory equipment, library resources, digital devices, and other facilities provided by the school. Any loss or damage caused intentionally or through negligence may require appropriate compensation and disciplinary action.


    1.2 Prohibited Items

    To ensure a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment, students are strictly prohibited from bringing the following items to the school premises:

    Weapons or dangerous objects, including firearms, knives, sharp objects, explosives, or harmful sprays.

    1.2.2
    Material containing hate speech, discriminatory content, violence, extremism, or any offensive or inappropriate content.

    1.2.3
    Pornographic, obscene, or age-inappropriate books, images, videos, or digital material.

    1.2.4
    Lighters, matches, fireworks, laser devices, vaping products, cigarettes, tobacco products, or any substance that may endanger health and safety.

    1.2.5
    Alcohol, illegal drugs, intoxicating substances, or any prohibited material under applicable laws of Pakistan.

    1.2.6
    Mobile phones, smart devices, gaming devices, or other electronic gadgets unless specifically permitted by the School Management or required for supervised educational purposes.

    Any prohibited item found in a student's possession may be confiscated and appropriate disciplinary action may be taken.


    1.3 Personal Belongings

    1.3.1
    Students should bring only necessary items required for learning and school activities. Springtide School does not accept responsibility for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings brought to school.

    1.3.2
    Mobile phones, cameras, smart watches, and other electronic gadgets are not allowed on campus unless prior written permission has been granted by the School Management for educational or exceptional purposes. Any unauthorized device may be confiscated and returned according to school policy.

    1.3.3
    Students are responsible for safeguarding their personal belongings, including books, stationery, school bags, uniforms, ID cards, and other items.

    1.3.4
    All lost and found items will be deposited at the designated Lost and Found facility of the respective section. Students and parents are encouraged to clearly label personal belongings with the student's name and class to ensure easy identification and recovery.

    1.3.5
    Students are discouraged from bringing valuable items, expensive accessories, or unnecessary cash to school. The school will not be responsible for any loss or damage of such items.

  • Parent Partnership Policy and Responsibilities

    2.1

    Parents are valued partners in the educational journey of their children. Springtide School strongly encourages parents to support and motivate their children by appreciating their achievements, showing interest in their academic progress, and taking an active interest in school activities. Parents are expected to cooperate with the school by ensuring that students have all necessary learning materials, including books, stationery, uniforms, costumes, and other resources required for academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities.

    2.2

    Parents should demonstrate to their children that parents and teachers are partners working together for the academic success, character development, wellbeing, and overall growth of students. A positive relationship between home and school plays a vital role in achieving the best outcomes for every child.

    2.3

    Parents are expected to uphold the dignity, integrity, and reputation of Springtide School. They must respect teachers, administrative staff, and all members of the school community. Parents should avoid any action, communication, or behaviour that may compromise the safety, discipline, confidentiality, or positive image of the institution, its students, or its employees.

    2.4

    Springtide School believes in fairness, transparency, and merit-based decisions. Any attempt by a parent or guardian to influence school matters through bribery, threats, manipulation, unfair pressure, or unlawful means shall be considered a serious violation of school policy. The School Management reserves the right to take appropriate action, which may include withdrawal of admission, cancellation of privileges, non-refund of applicable security deposit, and/or initiation of legal proceedings where required under applicable laws.

    2.5

    Parents are expected to communicate concerns respectfully and through appropriate school channels. Any person found involved in spreading false information, making defamatory statements, insulting, threatening, or deliberately damaging the reputation of Springtide School, its management, teachers, staff, or students through social media, digital platforms, or any other forum may face appropriate action, including restriction from school activities and privileges.

    2.6

    Springtide School actively manages its official communication channels and digital presence to ensure a safe, respectful, and constructive environment. The school reserves the right to restrict or remove access to official social media groups, digital platforms, or communication channels for individuals who engage in abusive, disrespectful, threatening, misleading, or inappropriate behaviour towards the school, management, faculty, staff, or students.

    2.7

    Parents are requested not to send payments for academic projects, competitions, field trips, co-curricular activities, or any other school-related purpose unless an official notification, circular, or communication has been issued by the Principal, School Administration, or an authorised representative of Springtide School.

    2.8

    Springtide School welcomes parents who wish to contribute positively to the school community. Parents may volunteer in approved activities such as educational events, field trips, reading programs, career counselling sessions, community service initiatives, safety awareness programs, and other school activities.

    Parents interested in volunteering may express their willingness through the school administration. Selection and involvement of parent volunteers shall remain at the discretion of the School Management according to school requirements, suitability, and safeguarding considerations.



    2.9 Class Parent Coordinators (CPCs)

    Springtide School may appoint **Class Parent Coordinators (CPCs)** to strengthen communication, cooperation, and partnership between parents and the school community. CPCs shall serve for a defined tenure according to school guidelines and may be selected or nominated through a process determined by the School Management.

    The responsibilities of CPCs include:

    * Managing class communication groups responsibly and ensuring that WhatsApp or other digital communication platforms remain respectful, constructive, and limited to school-related matters.
    * Maintaining a polite and positive communication environment among parents.
    * Sharing common class-related concerns with the relevant Section Head or school representative. Individual student matters must always be discussed privately through appropriate channels.
    * Respecting reasonable communication timings and avoiding unnecessary communication outside official school hours.
    * Encouraging parents to participate positively in school activities such as educational events, reading programs, field trips, community initiatives, and other approved activities.
    * Supporting the school in maintaining a strong partnership between parents, teachers, and students.

    The School Management reserves the right to withdraw the CPC role in case of misuse of position, breach of confidentiality, failure to perform assigned responsibilities, violation of school policies, or any action inconsistent with the values and interests of Springtide School.

    Academic Session

    The new academic session at **Springtide School** begins immediately after the completion of summer vacations, according to the academic calendar announced by the School Management.

    School timings for **Pre-Primary, Primary, Prep, Secondary, Matric, and Cambridge (O Level) classes** are communicated to parents before the beginning of each academic session.

    The school may provide an alternative assessment arrangement where academically and administratively feasible.



    9.5 Assessment Arrangements for Secondary and Cambridge Students


    Students of Secondary, Matric, and Cambridge sections who are granted approved leave during an assessment period may be required to complete an alternative assessment or re-test after returning, according to the decision of the School Management and relevant academic requirements.
